Long-Term Inpatient Treatment

Potential candidates for this program include male and female adults who are chemically dependent, have a history of relapse, or whose environment or lifestyle and skills indicate a high potential for relapse.
Length of stay in long-term treatment ranges from 60 days to one year. Treatment emphasis is on relapse prevention and development of life skills, including preparation and completion of a GED when necessary, job search skills and financial management including payment of fines and child support if applicable. In addition, parenting classes and anger management are included in the treatment program.
The goal of this program is to help the client make a successful transition from full-time treatment in a secure environment to their actual living environment. Clients are encouraged to obtain a local sponsor with whom they can attend Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meetings in the community, participate in sober activities sponsored by various groups, and seek recreational activities consistent with sober living.
