Long Term Inpatient Treatment Program
Potential candidates for this program include male and female adults who are chemically dependent, have a history of relapse or whose environment or life style/skills indicate a high potential for relapse. Length of stay in long term treatment is 60 days to one year. Patients continue with treatment at least three days a week with emphasis on relapse prevention. Life skills are developed which include preparation for and completing a GED where necessary, job search skills, securing a job if possible, financial management, which includes payment of fines and child support, if applicable. In addition, parenting classes and anger management are included in the treatment program. The emphasis in this program is on helping the patient make a successful transition from full-time treatment in a secure environment to their real world environment. Patients are encouraged to obtain a local sponsor with whom they can attend AA/NA meetings in the community, participate in sober activities sponsored by various groups, and seek recreational activities consistent with sober living.
