Short Term Inpatient Treatment Program
Admission to this program is available to male and female adults who are chemically dependent. The length of stay in the program ranges from 7 to 42 days. Successful completion is based on discharge criteria established by the treatment staff based on the assessment of the individual A multi-disciplinary team consisting of a medical director, nurses, addiction counselors, and a counseling psychologist staff the unit. Treatment includes group therapy, specialty group including relapse prevention and anger management, and educational lectures five days per week. Individual counseling sessions are conducted a minimum of twice a week. Patients participate in recreational activities including volleyball, bowling, canoeing, and other outings. Patients are transported to community AA/NA meetings at least twice a week, and AA/NA activities are conducted on campus several nights during the week. All the components of the program are designed to help patients achieve treatment goals. We recognize the need for family participation and support. A family program is held every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. which includes lunch. There is no additional charge for this program. Family members who participate may remain and visit until 5:00 p.m. Visitation is also allowed on Sunday afternoon for 1 1/2 hours.
